DGKK gives the award  Preis der DGKK  for outstanding scientific and technical achievements in the area of crystal growth. The award is donated with 3000 €.

The Preis der DGKK will be awarded to persons, who achieved outstanding scientific results or technical solutions in the area of crystal growth, growth processes or epitaxy either in the pure, applied, or industial research.

The awardee has not be a member of DGKK.
Every memberof DGKK is allowed to propose a candidate by a written statement. The board could also  ask especially former awardees for proposals.

The next Preis der DGKK will be awarded not before 2027.
